Delta - Munich Airport Visit : MUNICH, Germany (March 3) - Delta Air Lines customers in Munich had an exciting surprise at check in on Monday. Top U.S. Ski Team athletes including Olympic champion Julia Mancuso (Olympic Valley, CA) and World Cup leader Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) were on hand signing autographs at the ticket counter at Munich's Franz Josef Strauss International Airport. The Team made a special visit to meet new sponsor Delta Air Lines. Munich is the most important European hub for the U.S. Ski Team, which moves hundreds of athletes and coaches in and out of the airport all winter long.

High Performance Ski Clinic : The U.S. Ski Team has named Advanced Racing Computers an official equipment supplier and will integrate the vLink™ racing computer, a unique new performance measurement tool, into its sports science and racer training programs.

The vLink racing computer is a training tool that precisely measures the movement of the racer’s skis across the snow, and from this data makes measurements of lateral ski displacement, approximate edge angle, top speed, average speed and distance traveled. Racers and their coaches can use these metrics to experiment with tactics and techniques and then analyze their effects on skiing performance.

Thousands of attendees at the SIA.07 SnowSports Trade Show in Las Vegas will get a glimpse into the lifestyle of top U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding athletes as the Team partners with SnowSports Industries America in a unique Locker Project -- an interactive showcase of professional snowboarders and skiers. The ultimate goal of the Locker Project is to create a traveling showcase offering a mini-museum dedicated to athletes and their sponsors.
